With a star like Leonardo DiCaprio as the headshot, you've got to get some attention! ANIMAL ACTION WEEK is Oct 4th - 10th! This year's theme is Beneath the Waves and is focusing on saving whales, turtles, dolphins, et cetera.
The world is in danger, we need to be its superheroes. Animal Action Week is presented by IFAW to give information to young people about different issues. If you bring it up with your teacher, he or she could get some free information booklets and your class can win a free trip to HELP SAVE TURTLES! On the website, www.animalactionweek.org, you can do all kinds of stuff. You can sign the Plastic Free Pledge, find out more about AAW, and download a kool screensaver. You can print out a leaflet or watch the video! It's also a chance for me to say SAVE THE WHALES!!!

Fur Free Friday is Friday, November, 28th! It's basically a protest day against fur, where activists go around to stores and media people and tell them about the cruelty of fur. You can check out the website for more information, and for events near you. Every year, over 50 million animals are brutally killed and skinned to make fur products. By supporting Fur Free Friday, you're supporting the banning of fur (and all other exotic skins) in the Fashion Industry. Make sure to check it out!!!

The Elephant Defense Fund is a fund that was set up by the Born Free USA & Animal Protection Institute. They recently pursued a lawsuit against Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey circus for alleged violations of the Endangered Species Act. By donating to this fund, you will be helping to pay for the legal side of the lawsuit. Also, you will be saving endangered elephants in captivity and fighting for their rights!
